Why you should take my courseI believe that this foot and ankle course is unique to other courses on the same topic in that this course has a heavy emphasis on differential diagnosis. If Physical Therapy is truly moving toward the “Doctoring Profession” then we must all be prepared to perform a thorough evaluation to gather sufficient information to provide a diagnosis. I feel that this course provides the participant with an in-depth view on the most common diagnoses, common signs and symptoms associated with those diagnoses and a general outline of a suitable treatment plan that is consistent with the chronicity of the condition. I feel the participant will also leave this course comfortable in the understanding of when a patient’s biomechanical factors require specific treatment based on readily observable measurements and their comparison to predetermined norms. This provides information in an objective format that assists to minimize the ambiguity that currently permeates many clinicians approach to foot and ankle problems. InterestsWhen Josh is not seeing patients or making orthotics he relaxes by maintaining his daily cardiovascular and strength programs. He enjoys trail running and circuit training which he performs each morning at 5:30am. Josh is also an avid golfer, striving to perfect the ever elusive “perfect swing”. During the warmer months, he and his buddies gather to each weekend to hit the links and play for a long standing friendly wager. Once late fall rolls around, the golf clubs are stored and the Virginia Tech Football gear is donned proudly. Each home game is met with great hopes and anticipation of another Hokie victory on their march to national title aspirations. Course Dates
