The Running CourseCourse OutlineRunning is a natural but intricate combination
of interactions between the musculoskeletal, neurological, and
cardiopulmonary systems. This course focuses on developing an
understanding of the biomechanical events of running including
pathomechanics. Participants will develop an evaluation process,
which will take into account various elements affecting the
functionality of the runner. The 4 R’s: the Run (training),
the Runner (physical and biomechanical), the Running (form),
and Rehabilitation (treatment) form the framework of instruction
throughout the course. This framework forms the foundation for
effectively developing treatment programs and training alternatives.
Laboratory exercise will enhance the participants’ understanding
of the lecture material. Course Objectives I. Understand: Schedule of instruction
